George Mason University Vision Series Spotlights Top Scholars

Lectures focus on topics relevant to today's society

Fairfax, Va. – Eight Mason scholars and researchers will share their work and insight at the fourth annual Vision Series. The event will take place at George Mason University and begins on Monday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall on the Fairfax Campus. The lectures will continue into next year.

Designed to educate the community about issues relevant to people's lives in the 21st century, topics of the lectures are varied and include subjects such as global warming, racial politics, character development and crime prevention.

"The Vision Series lectures are aimed to draw from diverse sectors of the university, inspiring and facilitating creative discussion among students, faculty and staff, and the wider reaches of the community," says Mason Provost Peter Stearns.

All Vision Series lectures will be held on Mondays at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Tickets are required.
