Associate Professor of Mathematical Sciences
Padmanabhan Seshaiyer is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences in the College of Science.
His research interests focus on mathematics education including enhancing learning with new technologies, mathematical modeling for teachers, multicultural education and K – 12 outreach. Seshaiyer can also discuss computational mathematics including numerical analysis computational biomechanics including fluid-structure interaction of blood flow through the arteries.
Seshaiyer has received several honors and awards including the President's Excellence in Teaching Award and currently serves on the Advisory Council for the Center for Teaching Excellence at Mason. He received a M.Sc. in Mathematics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India, and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
